Adult Education October 2021

Sunday Morning Education Hour has some great offerings for adults to grow, stretch, deepen and ground their faith and practice. Adults of every age and stage are welcome – young adults to senior citizens. Some courses are three or four weeks and some last for several months. We try to address these broad themes: Bible Study, Big Questions, Equipping the Saints, Life and Nurture, Mission, Spirituality, and The Twenty-First Century.

October adult classes will be held in person in the church building (and online). Please wear a mask if you are attending in person.

Conversations on Race Book Discussion – facilitated by Paula Seabright

October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 — Room 258

Please join us starting on October 3 as we read Four Hundred Souls by Ibram X. Kendi and Keisha Blain and take a journey through American history as told by over 90 collaborators. From the NYT’s book review:

“A chorus of extraordinary voices tells the epic story of the four-hundred-year journey of African Americans from 1619 to the present—edited by Ibram X. Kendi, author of How to Be an Antiracist, and Keisha N. Blain, author of Set the World on Fire.”

We know you will be amazed by the narratives in this book that illuminates many points in our history that are left out of the traditional telling. Class will be hybrid.  To register for the class CLICK HERE and a link will be emailed to you.
