Dogwood blossoms in the church gardens. The "legend of the dogwood" connects the four-petal flower to the cross of Christ, the flower center to Christ's crown of thorns, and the red coloration to Christ's crucifixion. Yet, the flower is altogether beautiful and full of life, like Christ's Resurrection.
