Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. – next small group ZOOM meeting
In these days of missing each other’s presence we are continuing to connect with one another in a small group and invite you to participate. We look forward to seeing those who have already attended, those who expressed an earlier interest but have not yet attended and anyone else who would like to be part of this new and exciting initiative at First Presbyterian Church of Howard County.
It is not too late to join in. You can email Wilma Hadlock at hadlockwilma@gmail.com with questions or to request the link for the meeting.
Please respond by Friday, April 23. A link for joining will be emailed to you.
A future meeting is scheduled for May 23.
Why we do this:
After the pandemic started it became clear that it would be a while before we could gather together in church. We all miss the informal fellowship that happens when we spend time together, especially coffee hours and other activities that help us stay connected as a congregation.
Circles of Care was initially developed as a way to provide support to congregation members during the pandemic but has since evolved to a way of keeping us connected. Circles of Care fosters informal fellowship, lets us stay in touch, helps us get to know people who we might not otherwise meet, and lets us learn things about them that we might not otherwise know.
The group meets monthly through Zoom at 2:00 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month. Sessions consist of group conversations about various topics such as your most unusual job, or favorite holiday memory. We also play informal games to get everyone laughing and sharing in fellowship. If you’re sitting at home and want to have some fun and fellowship with fellow First Presbyterians, come join us!
You do need to pre-register so we can send the Zoom link for each meeting. The next meetings are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on the following Sundays—April 25 and May 23.
