Thanksgiving Basket Drive-Up Collection 2020

The Board of Deacons’ campaign this month focuses on donations suitable for Thanksgiving Feasts as part of our continuing efforts against Hunger in Howard County. The Deacons are asking for your help to provide 20 Thanksgiving Food Baskets to client families of Bridges to Housing Stability and 5 baskets to church community families. Our church will also provide Giant food cards for 25 families from the Foreign-born information and Referral Network (FIRN).

The Deacons are doing things a bit different this year due to Covid-19 and a closed church building. We are planning to collect food for Thanksgiving Baskets, and/or cash donations, on three consecutive Saturdays starting in October.

The Deacons will have a tent set up in the church parking lot
from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

on one more Saturday:
November 7

PLEASE drive up to the tent for a low-contact donation. Deacons will be wearing masks and gloves. Drive up, pop your trunk and we will grab the donations. If you wish to make a donation to enable the Deacons to purchase gift cards or food items, and can’t come out, please donate though the church and mark your donation clearly for School Supplies/Deacons.
